An off-road motorcyclist died while recovering north of Dillon, on Wednesday afternoon, July 28, according to the Summit County Rescue Group.
At around 3 p.m., the rescue team was reported to a man who was unavailable on the Tenderfoot Trail above the disc golf course in Dillon. The 911 call came from a group of drivers who met the man in the parking lot and drove with him for a while. The group later found him sitting on a log complaining that he could not breathe, and he fell to the ground and shortly afterwards stopped responding, according to a release from the rescue group.
A total of 21 members of the rescue group answered the call, 10 members drove off-road vehicles, off-road motorcycles and electric bicycles from the parking lot to the man’s location. Rescue workers discovered the deceased and took him to the Summit County Coroner.
